Brave new World-Dating

In Brave New World, dating  isn't really one on one. Everyone belongs to everyone else. Back in the 30's, dating was very strict. It wasn't as open as relationships are today. The dating scene today can be better compared to how they are in the book. There is not as much commitment today as there was in the 1930's. People are just having fun with it and jumping from one person to the next, where as the 30's would frown on that. This jumping and hoppping dating game is acceptable in Brave New World and if people today keep dating how they are,  eventually everyone could belong to everyone else..

Green Symbolism

Green is a good representation because it symbolizes nature and life. The Green Knight lives after being chopped, and this color green shows that he is full of life. It could possible be on New Years b/c to show how Sir Gawain has changed from un skilled, to a skilled knight. It seems that Sir Gawain took alot of shape between the time of one year.

Green Jolly Knight

The Green Knight is in between good and bad. He comes to the court proposing a "friendly" game. He is even willing to get his noggin let loose. This supernatural can lead to being evil with him carrying his own head around. He invites Gawain back to the Green Chapel to let him do his deed. Now from both these perspectives he's well rounded character with evil and good put into the mix.

Sir Gawaindizzle

Sir Gawain is an interesting character. He isn't the best knight out of the Arthur's Court, but he requests the challenge that the Green Knight proposes. He is someway superhuman as in the book when he leaves for the Green Chapel, the hooves had some sort of sparks flying from the horse just like the Green Knight. Epic hero can describe Gawain because he ends up being a legend after accepting the challenge and traveling the country side. His name is spread throughout the land. He has his flaws with being tempted by the Lord's wife, and as in the beginning he wasn't as skilled and no one would expect him to be a "big star".

Beowulf- Rotation of Revenge

The story Beowulf is surrounded by revenge. This revenge has a ping pong effect that is sent from the vikings back to the descendents of Cain and the dragon. Grendel wants revenge from being bannished by God and ends up at the Hereot, not wanting to party with Hrothgar, takes it out on Hrothgar's kingdom. Now Beowulf arrives and avenges Hrothgar's losses and destruction to his club. Now Grendels Mom steps in and heads to rough up the vikings for her son's death, but yet again, Beowulf puts her in her place. The dragon's treasure is disrupted and he goes burninating the country side and burninating all the peasants because he wants revenge and wants to find out who stole the his precious treasure that he has no use for. Beowulf has had it and adventures to go slay this dragon. He ends up putting the dragon to shame, but sacrifices his life for his people. In a way, the dragon gets its revenge on Beowulf at the end for killing him by biting Beowulf and sending Beowulf to his maker after the dragon loses his life to Beowulf. Revenge is plenty in stock in this epic story.
